I am still confused and I've been running and playing tabletop RPGs for 35 years. The needed rules are buried in paragraph after paragraph of wordy and sometimes confusing writing. What am I missing? I want to play this game. My head hurts from trying to get a line on the conflict rules alone.

This game may be simple but the simple part is buried in what I consider verbose rules that could - should be condensed.
